How to Fix Window.dll Not Found or Missing Errors?

Windows DLL errors are the most general errors of windows. When DLL errors occur, it displays a pop-up error message which notify user about the occurrence of DLL errors. There are various ways by which DLL errors can show up on your computer. Some of the errors are mentioned below which you may see window DLL errors:

  1.  "Window.dll Not Found"
  2. "This application failed to start because window.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
  3. "Cannot find [PATH]\window.dll"

Window.dll errors are caused by some situation which leads to the removal or corruption of the window DLL file. There are some cases in which Window.dll errors indicate registry problem or due to malware issue or even a hardware failure.

How to fix Windows.dll errors?

Always remember that you should not download window.dll from a “DLL download” website. Lots of reasons are there why you should not download DLL file. It will be better to obtain from its original, legitimate source. Always start Windows in safe mode to complete any of the following steps when you are not able to access Windows normally because of window.dll error.

Step 1: Restore window.dll from Recycle Bin

The easiest cause of a missing window.dll file is that you have deleted it without knowing. If you have doubt that you have deleted window.dll mistakenly but you have already emptied the Recycle Bin, then you may able to recover window.dll by using a free file recovery program.

NOTE: IF you are recovering a deleted copy of window.dll with a file recovery program, then it is a good idea but do this only when you are confident that you have deleted the file yourself and it was working properly before doing that.

Step 2: Run virus scan of your entire system

There are some window.dll errors which could be related to a virus or some other infection on your computer which has damaged DLL file.
